One of the first places I visited in Beijing was the Yinding (Silver Ingot) Bridge in Shichahai. It was a totally unplanned encounter as, after over 12 hours on a bus, I really felt like stretching my legs while wandering around the new city.
It was a beautiful and surprisingly warm day (considering the previous gelid locations) but the breeze quickly reminded me that it was December after all.
Shichahai turned out to be a quite crowded area during the weekend, full of tourists and passersby.
My two Argentinian friends and their guitars were an instant hit with the locals. They even ended up on a travel documentary some people were shooting!
The rest of the time was spent exploring the narrow streets and the colourful food stands scattered all around.
Definitely an exciting sight for any food lover.
