Istanbul is a very lively and, at times, chaotic city, especially in summer.
It has a mix of new and old, which makes it very interesting to visit and walk around. In fact, the city of Istanbul, historically known as Byzantium and Constantinopolis, was created around 667 BC (the legends say) and has a very long past which has left traces scattered around the different parts of the city.
We visited different historical locations, such as the Basilica Cistern, and strolled around different shops and markets, entertained by the ways of the local sellers.
I really liked the mix of old and new, and the beautiful architecture and decorations of the city center. Even if I personally don’t like the rush of big cities, Istanbul had such a personality that still allowed me to appreciate its beauty.
