The trip started with a 13-hour long overnight bus ride from Trieste to Dubrovnik:
totally devastating.
Right from the first foot off the bus, the familiar sight and weather gave me a sense of excitement and happiness. It was definitely nice to be back!
The following days went by very quickly, visiting old and new spots around the city of Dubrovnik and enjoying a sea we wouldn’t be able to enjoy for another month.
Towards the end of our visit, after visiting friends, restaurants and the beautiful beach, I just had to bring my girlfriend to the kayak tour around the island of Lokrum (previous pictures here).
Kayaking around the island is both a pleasant experience and a challenge, especially if the wind is against you. Exhausted, we enjoyed some red wine at the end of our accomplishment and went out for dinner in the Old Town.
This was a short stay and I really felt I had to fully relax before the real journey began. For this reason, I barely took any pictures (check out here for previous pictures of Dubrovnik).
Early morning and off to Mostar, in Bosnia ed Erzegovina!
