After an exhausting climb under the hot African sun, our group made it to the top. Welcomed by both the incredible view and the fresh shower created by the water crashing into the rocks.
It was amazing, and the feeling to be finally arrived and to be in front of these marvellous falls in Uganda was priceless. Few months ago most of us wouldn’t even have remotely thought about the possibility of being in Africa and now, here we were, speechless in front of yet another spectacle of nature.
The day was not over yet. In fact, once back to our vans, the drivers informed us that some bags dropped off the vehicle and were not there anymore.
After discussing the issue with the drivers, a guy from our group secretly told me that in one of the misplaced bags there was the ring he wanted to use for proposing right here, on top of the Murchison falls.
Luckily, another driver let us know that he managed to find the bags and to bring them to the headquarter of the park.
Our friend managed to get the bag and the ring back and to propose anyway, somewhere else.
The night ended with free beers, as part of the celebrations, and nice food at our new lodge. The next day would be our last activity of the tour: Chimp tracking.
